If you’re planning a wedding you’ve probably wondered about going to a wedding fair. What are they for? Are they worth going to?
As a make up artist, and a wedding enthusiast, I would definitely say they’re worth going to! Even if you’ve got almost everything planned for you big day, it is a great opportunity to see what else is out there that you may have missed off you wedding to-do list.
A top tip for wedding fairs is to have a nice long chat with suppliers, even if you already have that category ticked off. Take their cards, enter their competitions, take their offer vouchers and leave your details. It is so valuable to you to have backup suppliers for you big day. You can keep the cards in case you change your mind or even if your supplier falls ill and had to cancel. This is very unlikely, but we’re all human after all!
If you’re only planning on going to one wedding fair, I would research into if your venue is having one themselves. Most venues will dress their venues as if for a wedding to inspire you with ideas. If you already have all the little details planned, it will be lovely for you to see the venue again and get you all excited for your special day!
I tend to exhibit in fairs around Chester, Ellesmere Port and the Wirral to meet suppliers and brides in the area. I will keep you updates on any and all wedding fairs I am at using this blog with posts like this one and my social media pages.
